Yale Glinter


Yale Glinter is one of the department’s finest graduates. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg in June 2002 with a degree in Kinesiology and Applied Health. Yale has also received a Master in Public Health from the Lakehead University in 2006.

Yale began attending U of W after graduating from Garden City Collegiate in 1996 During his time here Yale encountered many exciting experiences; however his fondest memories were that of the Winnipeg Athletic Therapy Student Association (WATSA) and the opportunities that he was given to be actively involved in the university . As well, Yale was also an executive member of WATSA from (1999-2003) including two terms as President of the Association and a student athletic therapist mainly with the women’s basketball team but seemed to spend most of his time helping other team’s athletics both from a clinical nature or a field event coverage. When asked about his experience at the University of Winnipeg, Yale replied: “I received a comprehensive and high quality education that provided the foundation to succeed in the workforce and gained transferable skills that could be used in any future endeavours. Yale hopes to establish an Alumni Association of former graduates from the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health.

Currently Yale is the Youth, Teen, & Family Coordinator and Camp Director of the Dayton Jewish Community Center in Dayton, Ohio. As well, Yale has been exploring the North America, he spent 3 months travelling on his own, visiting16 states/provinces in 2007. The department wishes Yale the best of luck in all of his future endeavours.
