THE PEOPLE OF RED RIVER – A COSTUME GUIDE has been written to celebrate the up-coming bicentennial of the arrival of the first European settlers in the Red River (Winnipeg).
It is the product of 25 years of research by Barry and Judy McPherson, in collaboration with Janet La France, whose art work clearly illustrates each costume detail. The second half of the book contains a wealth of contemporaneous art work of people of the middling sort from Scotland, Ireland, England, The Canadas and a small number from the United States.A bibliography and a costume and textile glossary are included.
The book will be offered at the Colloquium for the special price of $35.00 + GST = $36.75. Visit us at the table display or pre-order your book directly from the publishers – Barry or Judy McPherson – at baggage@mts.net and it will be waiting for you.
